Throughout August, visitors were invited to take a walk along the Krakovski nasip in Ljubljana and visit the open-air exhibition Discover, Participate, Research – Citizen Science in Slovenia.
Featuring more than 30 Slovenian citizen science projects, the exhibition was presented across 22 illustrated posters, combining science, art, and communication in an innovative way.
The Department of Environmental Sciences at JSI was proud to contribute to the initiative through the Urban Cycling Lab project, which was featured on one of the posters.
The exhibition was curated and organised by the Citizen Science Network Slovenia. The opening took place the previous Thursday, with David Kocman from O2 participating as one of the guest speakers.
The exhibition showed how citizen science is helping to shape research in Slovenia, and how illustration and public participation can bring science closer to everyone.
